Glenlivet Rare Reserve Selection ‘ 75

This very popular Speyside is a single cask expression of Glenlivet. It was sourced from a parcel acquired from Pernod-Chivas. When this appeared on the manifest, we anticipated its arrival in our bottling hall. We were not disappointed. This 28 year old “first filled” Oloroso Sherry Cask, had all the characteristics of a great Glenlivet. Spicy cinnamon, and sweet raisin flavors, mingled with the juicy oakey tannins of the sherry cask. The palate suggests peat in the beginning, and then moves to the syrupy, sweet, spicy profile. A long, soft, creamy, flowery, finish makes this a classic Glenlivet.
